![]() It seems to bend a little too easily, causing a sort of "vibrato" effect if I lean into it a bit too much. The only other thing I felt worth mentioning was something I noticed about the neck as I was playing. Some bridge saddle adjustments got things back in order. ![]() Epiphone has a fairly poor track record in this area, so I wasn't especially surprised. I could hear it the first time I strummed an open G chord. The next problem I encountered has to do with a crappy set up - more specifically in the intonation department. Pots are smooth and quiet and the input jack had no shorts. Otherwise, the remaining electronics seem to be working fine. I flipped it back and forth several times and it soon functioned normally, but there still is some subtle crackling noise which is disappointing on a brand new instrument, especially since replacing it isn't an easy task. None of the following problems I encountered were deal breakers, but are certainly things worth mentioning.Īfter plugging it in to my amp I was greeted with a wall of silence, which turned out to just be dirty contacts on the pickup selector switch.
